Dr. Jason Shepherd received his Doctorate of Osteopathy from West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in 2006 before completing an internship from 2002-2003 with West Virginia University Family Practice.  From 2003-2006, he completed his anesthesiology residency with West Virginia University Department of Anesthesiology and subsequently joined the Anesthesiology faculty as an Instructor in July 2006.  He obtained  American Board of Anesthesiology and was promoted to his current rank, Assistant Professor in 2007.  He serves on the Anesthesiology Charge team and is regarded widely as being exemplary.  Dr. Shepherd is also a member of the Anesthesiology Department’s Promotion and Tenure Committee and the hospital’s CPR Committee.
