About Trisha Petitte
Trisha Petitte came to the WVU School of Nursing from the Department of Community Medicine in 2010. She is currently a clinical instructor in the School of Nursing, teaching in undergraduate Community and Medical-Surgical courses. She also teaches on the graduate level in the FNP Practicum and Clinical Scholarship courses. Her area of clinical practice is in geriatrics and has included cardiovascular disease, dementia, Alzheimer’s, and COPD. Her research interests include congestive heart failure, COPD, lung cancer and innovative healthcare delivery which incorporates technology such as home telemonitoring. In the summer of 2014 Trisha Petitte was awarded an Interprofessional Education (IPE) grant in collaboration with the School of Dentistry that will focus on health education and screenings for oral cancer.
