About Lena Maynor
Lena Maynor, PharmD, BCPS, is a Clinical Associate Professor at the West Virginia University School of Pharmacy and the Director of Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experiences. Dr. Maynor earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the WVU School of Pharmacy in 2005. She continued her training with a postgraduate Pharmacy Practice Residency at Charleston Area Medical Center in Charleston, WV, and then completed an Internal Medicine Pharmacy Residency with Emphasis in Nephrology at Virginia Commonwealth University, Medical College of Virginia Hospitals, in Richmond, VA. She has clinical pharmacy practice experience in internal medicine and was the director of the PGY-2 Internal Medicine Pharmacy Residency Program from 2009-2012. Dr. Maynor’s past accomplishments include receiving the 2009, 2012, and 2015 Outstanding Teaching Award from the WVU School of Pharmacy, the 2009 Preceptor of the Year Award from the WVU Hospitals Pharmacy Residency Program, induction into the WVU Health Science Center Teaching Academy of Excellence in 2010, and the 2014 Outstanding Achievements in Service Award from the WVU School of Pharmacy Visiting Committee. Dr. Maynor is also active in service to the University, serving as the 2015-2016 WVU Faculty Senate Chair-Elect and 2016-2017 WVU Faculty Senate Chair.
