About Leah Hammer
Dr. Leah Hammer is a Teaching Associate Professor in the Department of Physiology and Pharmacology at WVU, which she first joined in 2002. Dr. Hammer did her undergraduate and graduate degrees in Australia, and during this time, taught pharmacology to a wide range of students at several tertiary institutions. She is currently the director or co-director of medical pharmacology, dental pharmacology, a master’s level applied pharmacology and an undergraduate pharmacology course. Dr. Hammer also mentors young instructors/faculty who are learning to teach at the tertiary level and is chair of the Dept. of Physiology and Pharmacology’s Committee on Teaching Excellence. Dr. Hammer is a member of the School of Medicines Admissions Committee.
