Why did you choose WVU?:  While interviewing, the people at WVU were extremely kind and welcoming. I felt like I could feel the comradery shine through in all of my interactions. For me, variety was important when considering residency programs. WVU having opportunities in academic, community, and rural emergency medicine was something I really liked. I also have an interest in sport/event medicine and WVU offers ample opportunities to get involved!

Brief bio:  I was born and raised in Erie, Pennsylvania, with my younger brother, younger sister, and our two dogs. I attended the University of Pittsburgh, where I majored in Microbiology and had my first exposure to Emergency Medicine while working as an EMT and a patient transporter. After graduating, I moved to Norfolk, Virginia, to attend Eastern Virginia Medical School. Outside of medicine, I love staying active and playing sports. Basketball, pickleball, golf, and weightlifting are my favorites, but I'm always willing to try something new. Part of my family is from Seattle, so I'm a huge Seattle sports fan. One of the highlights of last year was getting to attend my first Seahawks game in Washington, D.C., when they played the Commanders. When I have free time, I also enjoy cooking and grilling. Italian food is my favorite, and my go-to dishes are eggplant parmesan and lasagna. I find cooking is one of the best ways to relax after a busy week.
