Why did you choose WVU? I was first drawn to WVU for the opportunity to train at a large academic medical center outside of an urban center. When I came to visit, I was really struck by the genuine care that the residents and the leadership team had for one another and the learning environment they had created together.

Brief bio: I grew up in Huntingtown, MD where I joined my local fire department at sixteen, got my EMT certification, and fell in love with Emergency Medicine. I continued to volunteer there throughout my undergraduate education at Washington College, where I majored in Biology with minors in Public Health and Chemistry. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I worked for my local health department as a community health outreach worker and was a division leader in establishing our mass vaccination site. I attended medical school at Kansas College of Osteopathic Medicine. While there, I enjoyed volunteering as a Wish Granter for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Outside of work, I love making things for my friends and family and have recently taken up machine embroidery!
