Why did you choose WVU? Despite interviews taking place over Zoom, I would be remiss if I didn't mention the initial thing that drew me to WVU; the vibe of the program. The program's dedication to fostering each individual's unique interests elevates residents to their utmost potential. The collegiality of the program was evident; the residents emanated a spirit of warmth and friendship. WVU is a well-established EM program with highly trained faculty with varying expertise. An academic institution and tier 1 trauma center in a rural setting. What more could you ask for? Not to mention the fantastic location in Morgantown, West Virginia. There are always new places to explore, and WV is truly Wild and Wonderful!
Brief bio: I grew up in a small Lake Town in upstate New York on the border of Quebec, Canada, in the beautiful Adirondacks. After completing my undergrad, I moved to New York City. Ultimately, after a few fun odds-and-ends jobs, I fell into a role in banking. Years passed, and the itch I had to pursue medicine returned with a vengeance. Two years in a post-baccalaureate program at the University of Connecticut, then on to finish Medical School, and here I am. My husband and two boys are my world, and we absolutely love WV. Outside of work, I love to be outdoors and will ski as much as I can in the winter and be on the lake all summer!
