About Nathan Richmond
Hometown: Jumping Branch, WV
Medical School: West Virginia University
What I like best about being a Mountaineer: My favorite thing about being a Mountaineer is our perseverance. We don’t make excuses; we don’t back down. We search for the biggest problems West Virginian’s face, and we attack them with everything we have.
Why Family Medicine? I chose Family Medicine because I felt as if it would allow me to have the greatest impact on my patient population. The scope of practice for Family Medicine is second to none, and for that reason, Family Medicine physicians really are the “do it all” physicians.
Before Medical School: Prior to medical school, I was a medical scribe in the emergency department at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. This helped me solidify my decision to become a physician.
I enjoy: My favorite thing to do is spend time with my wife and son. I also enjoy hunting, fishing, exercising, and grilling.
