About Brian Ellis
Brian Ellis, M.D., is an ophthalmologist who specializes in neuro-ophthalmology, focusing on the treatment of patients with issues involving the relationship between the eye and the brain, how the eye sends visual messages to the brain and how the brain influences the eye.
Dr. Ellis joined the WVU Eye Institute and the WVU Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences faculty in 1994. He serves as an associate professor. He also serves as a member of the consulting staff at the Louis A. Johnson Veterans Administration Hospital located in Clarksburg, W.Va.
Ellis completed a fellowship in neuro-ophthalmology from the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in 1994. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the Cleveland Clinic in 1993 and an internship in ophthalmology at the Cleveland Clinic in 1990. He is board-certified in ophthalmology.
