Rachel Baker serves as a Project Manager with the Nourish WV team at the WVU Institute for Community and Rural Health. Rachel is a West Virginia native, earning her Bachelors in Public Health and Master's in Health Administration both from WVU. Prior to her work at WVU IRCH, Rachel worked for the Michigan Public Health Institute (MPHI) as a Public Health Improvement Specialist, as well as at WVU’s Health Affairs Institute as a Research Specialist.

Rachel has expertise in project management, community and economic development, quality improvement, qualitative research, as well as training and technical assistance. Rachel’s work as a public health professional has generated an interest in qualitative research methods, which allow her to better understand firsthand the experiences of the individuals and communities throughout Appalachia. Rachel aims to improve health outcomes and create robust communities for all West Virginian’s.
