Amanda Kitzmiller, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC, CNE is a board certified family nurse practitioner. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master of Science in Nursing from West Virginia University in Morgantown, WV. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner and nursing faculty member, she worked as a registered nurse in the Cardiothoracic and Coronary Care Units and Department of Family Medicine at WVU Medicine in Morgantown, WV and as a graduate and research assistant in the West Virginia University School of Nursing. Mrs. Kitzmiller’s professional interests include chronic diseases, gerontology, and nursing education.

Teaching interests: Mrs. Kitzmiller's teaching interests include Fundamentals, Adult Medical Surgical Nursing, Geriatrics, and Palliative Care.

Mrs. Kitzmiller's research interests include Nursing Education, Geriatrics, and Palliative Care.
