I am a mountain girl - born and raised in the Adirondacks of NY. I have had the joy of teaching in the School of Nursing at WVU since 2016. As a nurse practitioner, my passion is to provide quality care to patients at a local clinic that provides free care to patients who are uninsured or underinsured through the Faculty Practice Program. My husband and I have 4 grown children and we love to travel by motorcycle in our spare time.

Teaching interests: I currently coordinate the NSG 100 Introduction to Nursing course and enjoy teaching in both underdraduate and graduate programs. My primary focus in coming to teach at WVU School of Nursing was to help prepare new nurse practitioners. It is a role I love and desire to pass that passion for excellent care providers along to new providers.

I am interested in any research that leads to improved patient outcomes. In particular, I am interested in ways to effectively promote screening and patient engagement in treatment for hepatitis C.
