Amy D. Funk serves as Chair and Program Director for the Department of Dental Hygiene, School of Dentistry, West Virginia University.  She has completed several educational programs including the ADEA Allied Dental Faculty Leadership Program, WVU HSC Teaching Scholars Program, Minority Clinical Training Initiative, Tobacco Cessation Conferences, and Interprofessional Collaboration Conferences.  She serves on numerous local, School, University, and State committees and has served as President of West Virginia Dental Hygienists’ Association.  Her professional presentations include lesson planning for oral health educators, oral health management for the HIV/AIDS patient, experiences with distance learning courses, tobacco cessation, and infection control.
